KING CETSHWAYO HERITAGE TOUR

The district held an inspiring and educational tour depicting the heritage of King Cetshwayo this month. The Commemoration Tour began at Ondini Museum in Ulundi where the delegation of Councillors and officials learned of the history of the Zulu nation. The tour passed the monument battle field and ended at Mthonjaneni Lodge.

Day two of the tour comprised exciting visits to heritage sites where they learned more of the impact of King Cetshwayo on the district that is named after him. They included: Port Durnford Esikhaleni Senkosi, Fort Nonqayi, the battle site at Gingindlovu and the Spirit of Cetshwayo at Eshowe.
